About The Position
Accenture’s SAP practice helps clients meet the challenges of digitization by leveraging design thinking, agile development methodologies, and smart technologies like IoT, automation, and AI. We offer training in new SAP technologies and have a strong community for support. Accenture has received over 70 SAP awards and is a leading business partner for several SAP solutions. This role is part of the SAP Software Engineering team and requires a transformation expert adept at solving complex business problems and configuring SAP systems. The role involves regular travel to client sites.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP TM Transportation Management is required
- Strong functional expertise in SAP Event Management including configuration and business process design
- Proven experience leading large‑scale SAP TM or logistics implementations in complex client environments
- Ability to lead client workshops and influence senior stakeholders in a structured, consultative manner
- Bachelor’s degree or completion of a college program in a related discipline
- Eligibility for Secret Security clearance is required
- English is required for this position

- Advanced proficiency in Custom Application Development, Software Design & Solutions, Software Engineering, SAP LE Transportation, and SAP SD Functional is suggested
Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end SAP TM / Event Management functional design and implementation, including configuration, testing, cutover, and post‑go‑live support
- Own process design in areas like Transportation planning, Freight order management, Carrier collaboration, Freight costing & settlement, Execution & monitoring
- Facilitate and lead client discovery and design workshops, translating business requirements into SAP TM , Event Management functional solutions
- Collaborate with SAP FI, MM, SD, QM, and Finance teams to ensure end‑to‑end integration across the supply chain
- Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications
- Utilize modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs
- Act as a subject matter expert with deep knowledge and experience, possessing influencing and advisory skills
- Be responsible for team decisions, engage with multiple teams, and contribute to key decisions
- Provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
- Implement best practices in software development to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with team members
- Continuously explore and evaluate new technologies to enhance software solutions
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members to foster their professional growth
