About The Position

We are seeking an experienced SAP Functional Configurator with strong expertise in SAP SD or SAP MM with Master Data, S/4HANA, and IS-Retail. The ideal candidate will have hands-on SAP functional experience across implementation, enhancements, production support, troubleshooting, and business process configuration. This role requires strong experience supporting SAP applications in a production environment, working with business users, resolving defects, gathering requirements, and delivering SAP solutions across retail and master data processes. Candidates should be able to clearly explain the number of SAP implementations, enhancements, and project deliveries they have completed, in addition to their production support experience.

Requirements

  • 6–7 years of relevant SAP functional experience in SAP SD or SAP MM with Master Data.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Experience with SAP IS-Retail.
  • Mandatory experience in production support, incident management, troubleshooting, and defect resolution.
  • Proven experience delivering SAP implementations and enhancements, in addition to production support work.
  • Ability to clearly describe: Number of SAP implementation projects delivered, Number of enhancement projects completed, Scope of production support responsibilities handled, Role in configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
  • Strong understanding of SAP SD or MM business processes and Master Data.
  • Experience working with multiple interfaces related to Master Data.
  • Knowledge of RICEFW objects.
  • Ability to identify business requirements and translate them into functional design and SAP configuration.
  • Experience preparing functional specifications, design documentation, test scripts, and support documents.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analysis, and root cause identification skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong collaboration skills with business users, technical teams, and cross-functional teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • SAP certification in Material Management, Sales and Distribution, Retail, S/4HANA Procurement, or a related SAP module.
  • Experience with SAP implementation methodology and tools.
  • Exposure to Agile methodology.
  • Experience supporting mid-sized SAP projects involving cross-functional teams.
  • Experience coordinating UAT, training, rollout, and release activities.
  • Prior experience in retail business processes and enterprise SAP support environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide SAP functional support for SAP SD or SAP MM with Master Data processes.
  • Support SAP applications in the production environment and ensure application availability and stability.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production support tickets, defects, and service desk issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend long-term solutions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Work closely with business users to gather requirements, understand issues, and document functional solutions.
  • Support SAP S/4HANA and IS-Retail processes, enhancements, and integrations.
  • Participate in SAP implementation, enhancement, and support projects.
  • Perform SAP configuration, master data setup, data cleansing, and validation activities.
  • Prepare functional specifications for RICEFW objects and coordinate with technical teams.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, cross-functional teams, IT infrastructure teams, and development teams.
  • Support approved mid-sized projects, bug fixes, and minor enhancements to existing SAP solutions.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing as required.
  • Prepare and maintain functional design documents, configuration documents, test scripts, testing evidence, and support documentation.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with business users.
  • Support training, rollout, and deployment activities for new systems or enhancements.
  • Ensure business requirements are properly configured, tested, and delivered into production.
  • Provide direction and collaborate with assigned contractors and cross-functional project teams.

Benefits

  • Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000 CAD/ year
  • The final compensation offered will depend on local market conditions and geographic location, as well as job-related factors such as the candidate’s knowledge, skills, qualifications, relevant experience, and education/training.
  • Compensation may also include additional components such as benefits, and/or other incentives, where applicable.
