About The Position

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network, aiming to deliver fast, reliable internet globally. This role is for a Sr SAP FICO Product Manager within a start-up environment, focusing on the financial and controlling aspects of the Leo initiative. The ideal candidate will possess both functional and technical expertise in SAP, with a demonstrated ability to think strategically about Amazon Leo initiatives. Responsibilities include problem-solving, business process understanding, SAP configuration, solution design, enhancement, and production support, working closely with other SAP functional teams to ensure scalability and cost-effectiveness in manufacturing satellites and ground gateway terminals. Success requires strong motivation, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 8+ years of experience in SAP FICO, including Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO)
• 3+ years of experience leading teams or managing large-scale SAP Finance programs
• Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC in complex, production environments
• Strong expertise in core finance processes including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Bank Accounting
• Experience with month-end and year-end close (Record-to-Report lifecycle)
• Deep understanding of Cost Centers, Projects/WBS, Profit Centers, Product Costing
• Experience delivering end-to-end finance transformations or ERP implementations
• Understanding of integration across MM, SD, and PP modules
• Experience in reconciliation, audit readiness, and issue resolution
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice To Haves

• MBA, CPA, CA, CMA, or equivalent finance certification
• Experience leading SAP S/4HANA transformation programs
• Experience in SAP FI/CO configuration and solution design
• Knowledge of Material Ledger and advanced accounting
• Experience with external integrations (e.g., Oracle Project Accounting)
• Experience in large-scale or high-growth environments
• Familiarity with SAP Fiori, embedded analytics, or BI tools

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of projects related to SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) module from design to deployment including integration with Amazon Corporate systems.
• Build deployment project plans and manage risks impacting successful delivery.
• Develop use cases by gathering business requirements, work with software development to build required features, clearly communicate dependencies and manage/track exceptions.
• Participate and build Proof of Concepts (POCs) to ensure proposed solution can meet business requirements using SAP S/4.
• Active participation in Unit Test, System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, and User Training.
• Apply strong knowledge of the business processes for designing, developing, and testing SAP S/4 HANA ERP functionality, which includes expertise in general ledger, accounts payable, project system, cost center accounting, product cost controlling and profit center accounting.
• Configure SAP S/4 HANA FICO to meet business requirements, including connection points with PP, MM, PS, & SD and other modules and implementation of SAP best practices.
• Navigate through a large amount of ambiguity and drive consensus between cross-functional stakeholder groups.
• Gather requirement from Finance, Accounting & Tax teams and Collaborate with other functional teams for HLD design and configure SAP to business requirement with validate & user trainings.
