About The Position

The SAP FICO Architecture Advisor II designs and delivers SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions supporting complex financial operations, regulatory requirements, and transformation priorities. The role combines SAP S/4HANA Finance expertise with emerging AI capabilities to identify, design, and implement AI agents that improve financial operations, automate repetitive activities, enhance decision-making, and improve the user experience. The position develops Agentic AI solutions for SAP Finance, identifies automation opportunities across finance processes, and implements advanced SAP capabilities such as Universal Journal, Central Finance, Group Reporting, and Financial Planning and Analysis. It ensures designs meet financial regulatory, audit, and control requirements and integrates SAP finance solutions with treasury, risk and compliance, reporting, and enterprise applications. The advisor works with business and technical leaders to deliver finance technology initiatives, analyze processes, manage deliverables and risks, resolve system issues, develop functional specifications, support testing and releases, and recommend roadmap improvements. The role also supports SAP enhancement packs and future upgrades. This is a full-time, direct-hire role that is fully on-site. Candidates must have valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization; sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

At least 6 years of experience in SAP FICO solution design, configuration, and support within enterprise finance environments.
At least 6 years of experience configuring SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Controlling, and Bank Accounting.
At least 4 years of experience implementing SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions, including design, configuration, testing, deployment, or production support.
At least 3 full life cycle SAP implementations in finance-focused roles with hands-on SAP S/4HANA Finance experience.
At least 4 years of experience supporting financial services processes, regulatory reporting, financial consolidation, intercompany transactions, or related regulated finance operations.
At least 4 years of experience developing functional specifications, supporting testing, and resolving production issues through configuration, SAP Notes, and collaboration with technical teams.
Experience using SAP Activate methodology, Agile delivery frameworks, or similar structured delivery methods.
Hands-on experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, AI agents, or intelligent workflow automation.
Experience identifying business processes suitable for AI automation and translating them into AI use cases.
Understanding of LLM-based applications, prompt engineering, AI orchestration, enterprise knowledge grounding, APIs, and agent-based architectures.
Understanding of security, financial controls, authorization, auditability, data privacy, and responsible AI requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, related experience, and/or military experience.
Valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization; candidates requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered.

Nice To Haves

Experience implementing Agentic AI specifically within SAP FICO or Finance processes.
Experience with AI use cases in Collections and Dispute Management, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, financial close, Treasury, or reporting.

Responsibilities

Design and implement Agentic AI solutions for SAP Finance processes to interpret business context, reason across information, initiate workflows, and support human decision-making.
Identify high-value Agentic AI opportunities across Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, Collections, Dispute Management, Treasury, and Financial Reporting.
Implement advanced SAP S/4HANA finance capabilities, including Universal Journal, Central Finance, Group Reporting, and Financial Planning and Analysis.
Ensure solution designs support financial regulations, audit requirements, and control frameworks, including SOX, IFRS, and GAAP.
Integrate SAP finance solutions with Treasury Management Systems, risk and compliance platforms, external reporting systems, and related enterprise applications.
Partner with business and technical leads to plan, coordinate, and execute finance technology initiatives from task assignment through completion.
Analyze current-state business processes and recommend best-practice solutions across SAP cross-functional integration points with finance and related modules.
Organize work efforts, prioritize deliverables, track risks and issues, and communicate progress to support project and production support commitments.
Analyze system defects, determine root causes, and resolve functionality issues through configuration changes, SAP Note evaluation, and recommended enhancements.
Develop functional specifications for custom development and provide functional support to development teams during build, testing, and deployment.
Conduct system integration testing and support business users through user acceptance testing to validate functionality before production release.
Collaborate with business systems leaders to identify and recommend roadmap improvements for financial systems technology.
Support pack implementation and future SAP release upgrades by assessing impacts and validating finance functionality.
