About The Position

Kearney & Company is seeking a highly skilled SAP ERP Consultant to join our team supporting one of the Federal government’s largest agencies! This role involves investigating and analyzing transactional errors within the SAP ERP system, pinpointing root causes, and identifying corrective actions. The consultant will work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and IT, to understand transaction workflows and error origins. Significant time will be spent drafting/updating communication artifacts such as Standard Operating Procedures, Desktop Guides, and white papers. The position also includes documenting error resolution steps and outcomes, developing and maintaining user guides, FAQs, and other resources, and providing training and support to end-users on SAP ERP transaction processing and error resolution techniques. The role requires strong customer service skills and the ability to work in occasional high-pressure situations with short deadlines. The consultant will also direct and review the work of Senior Associates and communicate the status of project-related tasks to the Team Lead and client.

Requirements

  • BA/BS/BBA degree from an accredited college/university
  • 5 years of progressive, relevant experience
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an U.S. Secret (or higher, such as Top Secret or TS/SCI) security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience analyzing Department of Navy general ledger postings
  • Experience researching and resolving unmatched transactions within Navy ERP
  • Experience with Fund Balance with Treasury (FBWT) reconciliations and Financial Reporting.
  • Experience working with DFAS reporting policy and procedures
  • Experience working with DoW’s Advanced Analytics (Advana) platform
  • Experience working with DoW disbursing operations
  • Ability to independently research data reconciling variances
  • Experience researching and applying FASAB, OMB, and Treasury requirements including OMB Circular A-136, and/or the Treasury Financial Manual
  • Highly proficient skills in MS Excel
  • Experience with SQL, Python, Databricks, and Foundry for data querying
  • CPA or eligibility to sit for CPA certification
  • Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM), Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or other professional certification.

  • Directing and reviewing the work of Senior Associates.
  • Communicating status of project-related tasks to Team Lead and client.
