We are seeking an experienced SAP Development Expert to join our Enterprise Applications team as Senior Manager. This role is central to driving our SAP Business Technology Platform strategy, encompassing full-stack BTP development (RAP/CAP), SAP Datasphere-enabled data architecture, and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) delivery. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise alongside hands-on experience in accounting or professional services environments, enabling them to translate complex business requirements into robust, cloud-native SAP solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or equivalent professional experience.
  • 15+ years of hands-on SAP development experience with at least 3 years focused on SAP BTP, including RAP (ABAP Cloud) and CAP (Node.js or Java) model development.
  • Proficiency in SAP Datasphere - space/schema design, data flows, replication flows, remote tables, and analytic model consumption.
  • Proficiency in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) – story development, live connectivity to S/4HANA and Datasphere, planning models, data actions, and predictive forecasting.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong foundation in ABAP (OO, CDS, BAdIs, RAP business objects) and modern BTP services (BTP Integration Suite, Workzone, CPEA entitlements, Kyma/Cloud Foundry runtimes).
  • SAP BTP Associate or Professional certification (e.g., C_BTP_2408, C_S4CDK_2023) or SAP Datasphere / SAC certification.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Joule, SAP Build (Low-Code/No-Code), and Generative AI capabilities available on BTP.
  • Exposure to SAP Billing and SAP Revenue Accounting and Reporting (RAR) modules.
  • Solid understanding of accounting processes – General Ledger, Accounts Receivable/Payable, Project Billing, Revenue Recognition.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Identity and Access Management (IAS, IPS), BTP security roles, and destination/connectivity service configurations.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies, CI/CD pipelines (SAP Build, GitHub Actions), and SAP Transport Management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to present architectural recommendations to executive and senior leadership audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop cloud-native applications on SAP BTP using the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP), adhering to SAP Activate and Clean Core principles.
  • Develop and maintain CDS views, OData services, Business Events, and BTP Integration Suite artifacts supporting end-to-end accounting and billing workflows.
  • Collaborate with the SAP S/4HANA Finance and Project Systems teams to ensure seamless integration between ERP processes (GL, AR, AP, Project Billing) and BTP-hosted applications.
  • Design and implement data models, federated views, and data flows within SAP Datasphere to support enterprise-wide analytics, financial reporting, and operational decision-making.
  • Build and maintain SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) solutions including stories, planning models, predictive scenarios, and multi-dimensional reporting aligned to FP&A, revenue, and workforce planning requirements.
  • Deliver technical specification documents, architecture decision records (ADRs), and test plans; support integration testing, UAT, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders including Partners, Finance leadership, and executive sponsors.
