About The Position

In Ness, we create applications for production planning, deadline management, and financial agenda. We build new applications and add functions, entire processes, and connections to other systems to existing ones. We are looking for a developer with practical knowledge of ABAP and experience from SAP projects. We want a colleague who thinks about the task and can turn their ideas into quality code. Have you completed your first projects? You will build upon them in cooperation with more experienced colleagues. If you are already working independently, you can take over the technical design and responsibility for a cohesive part of the application.

Requirements

• Practical experience with ABAP and orientation in ABAP OO
• Knowledge of SQL and principles of relational databases
• Ability to read foreign code, use a debugger, and find errors
• Understandable code and consistent verification of own changes
• Ability to explain technical design and cooperate with colleagues
• English for communication and working with documentation

Nice To Haves

• ABAP CDS and RAP
• SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, JavaScript/TypeScript and OData
• Experience with integration interfaces
• Orientation in ABAP Cloud and principles of Clean Core
• SAP BTP, CAP (Node.js / Java) or SAP Integration Suite

Responsibilities

• Programming in ABAP and ABAP OO, creating new applications and extensive enhancements to existing ones
• Work on the backend and applications for SAP GUI; depending on specialization, also SAP Fiori/SAPUI5, CDS, OData, and integration
• Cooperation with consultants from clarifying requirements through choosing the technical approach to testing and deployment
• Modernization of customer code and its adaptation for S/4HANA
• Occasional analysis and performance optimization, where you will apply meticulousness and systematic root cause analysis
• Individual parts are created together in the team. We do not expect you to master all the listed technologies.
