About The Position

Fusion Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP Datasphere Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable data models and analytical solutions in complex SAP environments. The role focuses on data modeling, integration, transformation, and development in support of enterprise reporting, analytics, and business planning. The developer will work with solution architects, functional consultants, and business stakeholders to deliver efficient data processing, reliable integration, and high-quality analytical solutions aligned with business needs and technical standards. The role is based remotely in Japan, with travel to Yamagata when requested by the client. The successful candidate may lead a client-side workstream and potentially large projects in the future, while bridging global English-speaking business teams and local operations. As an early member of Fusion Consulting’s Japan presence, the employee will help shape its local growth and work with global clients and cross-border teams.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere, particularly data modeling, development, and integration.
Proven experience developing graphical views, SQL views, analytical models, and data transformations in SAP Datasphere.
Solid understanding of SAP Datasphere Data Builder, Business Builder, and semantic modeling concepts.
Strong knowledge of SQL, SAP HANA, and relational data modeling principles.
Experience with data integration techniques, including data replication, virtualization, and transformation.
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, and their integration with SAP Datasphere.
Understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT processes, and enterprise data architectures.
Experience troubleshooting data-processing issues, optimizing query performance, and ensuring data quality.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with technical and functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain data models, views, and analytical datasets in SAP Datasphere.
Build and optimize graphical views, SQL views, analytical models, and data transformations for business reporting and analytics.
Develop and maintain data flows, replication flows, and integration processes across SAP and non-SAP systems.
Implement semantic modeling concepts, including business entities, relationships, measures, and dimensions.
Integrate SAP Datasphere with SAP S/4HANA, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud, and other enterprise data sources.
Work with solution architects and functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and data solutions.
Optimize data models, queries, and data-processing workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
Troubleshoot data integration, transformation, data quality, and model performance issues.
Support unit testing, system integration testing, technical documentation, deployment, and ongoing enhancements.
Potentially lead client-side workstreams and large projects.
