SAP Data Migration Consultant
About The Position
Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an SAP Data Migration Consultant to support SAP S/4HANA implementations in a fully remote U.S. role. The consultant will design and execute data migration strategies for conversion and greenfield scenarios, prepare and migrate data from legacy systems, configure SAP migration and replication tools, and support system refreshes and landscape management. The role also covers data transformation and quality processes, validation and reconciliation, performance optimization, migration rehearsals and cutover, and compliance with enterprise governance and privacy standards. The consultant will maintain thorough technical documentation so that systems remain supportable, auditable, and accessible to future engineers. This is a full-time, direct W-2 position with a stated annual salary range of $100,000–$175,000. The position requires at least 12 years of SAP data migration experience and a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 12 or more years of SAP data migration experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP LTMC and S/4HANA migration tools.
- Experience with SAP SLT replication scenarios.
- Working knowledge of SAP LVM for system refresh and landscape management.
- Strong understanding of SAP master and transactional data structures.
- Experience performing data validation and reconciliation processes.
- Strong SQL and data analysis skills.
- Experience working in enterprise SAP landscapes during major implementations.
- Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience participating in S/4HANA greenfield or brownfield implementations.
- Exposure to SAP Data Services or other ETL platforms.
- Experience with high-volume, multi-source data migrations.
- Working knowledge of SAP HANA database structures.
- SAP S/4HANA certification.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute SAP data migration strategies for S/4HANA implementations, including conversion and greenfield scenarios.
- Extract data from legacy systems using SAP-provided and custom tools, and prepare it for ingestion into SAP.
- Configure and use SAP LTMC (Legacy Transfer Migration Cockpit), including custom migration objects where required.
- Implement SAP SLT real-time replication scenarios, including transformation rules and filter conditions.
- Manage logical system setups and replication configurations for hybrid SAP environments.
- Support system refreshes and landscape virtualization activities using SAP LVM (Landscape Virtualization Management).
- Design and execute data transformation, cleansing, and enrichment processes before migration.
- Develop validation and reconciliation reports to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies, duplicates, and orphan records before go-live.
- Support mock migrations, dress rehearsals, and final cutover, including runbook execution and rollback planning.
- Optimize large-volume data loads through parallelization, package sizing, and database tuning.
- Collaborate with functional teams to validate master and transactional data against business expectations.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, audit, and privacy standards.
- Maintain current technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design decisions, configuration references, runbooks, and operational procedures.
