About The Position

Data-Core Systems, Inc. is seeking an SAP BRIM Developer (SOM, CI, CC, FICA) to join their Consulting team. This role involves participating in and contributing to the design, development, and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies. The developer will provide technical expertise and systems design for individual initiatives and have the opportunity to collaborate with other Subject Matter Expert (SME) consultants. The client is a roadway system undergoing a digital transformation, implementing a solution based on SAP BRIM & Microsoft Dynamics CE.

Requirements

• 7+ years of SAP technical development experience.
• 3+ years of direct SAP BRIM development experience.
• Proven experience supporting enterprise billing and revenue management solutions.
• Strong understanding of subscription-based and usage-based billing processes.
• Hands-on experience developing and supporting: SAP SOM, SAP CI, SAP CC, SAP FI-CA.
• Strong ABAP development experience including: Enhancements, User exits, BADIs, APIs, OData services, Workflow integrations.
• Experience with: SAP HANA, SAP S/4HANA integrations, Middleware and API integrations, Performance tuning and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of: SAP architecture, Billing and invoicing processes, Financial integration concepts, Enterprise integration patterns.
• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving abilities.
• Strong software development and debugging capabilities.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred certifications include one or more of the following: SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver, SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Billing and Revenue Innovation Management, SAP Certified Technology Associate - SAP HANA.
• SAP S/4HANA technical certifications are preferred.
• Additional Certifications: SAP BTP certifications preferred.
• Cloud certifications (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) preferred.

Responsibilities

• SAP BRIM Development: Design, develop, enhance, and support SAP BRIM technical solutions across SOM, CI, CC, and FI-CA.
• Develop custom enhancements, interfaces, workflows, forms, APIs, and automation solutions supporting enterprise billing and revenue management processes.
• Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Support enterprise subscription-based and usage-based billing models.
• SOM Development Support: Develop and enhance SAP Subscription Order Management (SOM) processes and integrations.
• Support subscription lifecycle management including: Order capture, Contract modifications, Fulfillment integrations, Subscription management workflows.
• Develop APIs and integrations supporting order orchestration and provisioning processes.
• Convergent Charging (CC) Development: Develop and support charging and rating configurations and customizations.
• Support: Usage-based billing, Rating logic, Mediation integration, Pricing and charging frameworks.
• Optimize charging performance for high-volume transaction processing environments.
• Convergent Invoicing (CI) Development: Develop and support invoicing, billing aggregation, and financial posting processes.
• Enhance invoice generation, formatting, reconciliation, and billing integration functionality.
• Support custom billing workflows and invoicing automation.
• FICA Development Support: Develop and support SAP FICA technical solutions related to: Customer account management, Payment processing, Collections and dunning, Financial postings, Dispute management, Account reconciliation.
• Support integration with SAP S/4HANA Finance and related enterprise systems.
• Technical Development & Integration: Develop technical objects including: ABAP programs, BADIs, User exits, Enhancements, RFCs, OData services, APIs and web services.
• Support integrations between SAP BRIM and: SAP S/4HANA, CRM/CX platforms, Middleware and integration platforms, Third-party billing and payment systems.
• Collaborate with the integration architects and middleware teams on interface development.
• Testing & Quality Assurance: Develop and execute: Unit testing, Integration testing, System testing, User acceptance testing (UAT).
• Support defect analysis, debugging, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Ensure solution quality, scalability, and operational stability.
• Performance Optimization & Production Support: Analyze and optimize application performance and transaction processing efficiency.
• Support monitoring, troubleshooting, and incident response activities.
• Participate in deployments, cutovers, maintenance windows, and production support.
• Assist with performance tuning for high-volume billing and charging environments.
• Documentation & Governance: Create and maintain: Technical specifications, Interface documentation, Operational procedures, Development standards, Technical runbooks.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise development standards, security requirements, and governance processes.
• Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer: Collaborate with: SAP BRIM architects, Functional consultants, Data migration teams, BASIS administrators, Infrastructure teams, Business stakeholders.
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical design sessions, and Agile ceremonies.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
