The role supports day‑to‑day Basis activities such as system monitoring, transports, patching, upgrades, and environment refreshes, while also administering SAP security through role‑based access, user provisioning, and Segregation of Duties controls. This position works closely with application teams, infrastructure, and SAP security governance to support system changes, testing cycles, cutover, and hypercare activities across regions. A strong focus is placed on operational excellence, compliance, and ensuring consistent technical and security processes as part of an enterprise‑wide SAP S/4HANA transformation.

Requirements

  • Hands‑on experience with SAP Basis administration , including system monitoring, transports (TMS), system refreshes, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning across ECC and S/4HANA landscape.
  • Ability to support global SAP implementations and rollouts , including build, test, cutover, and hypercare activities across multiple environments and regions.
  • Working knowledge of SAP Security and GRC , including role‑based access control, user provisioning, Segregation of Duties (SoD) analysis, and audit support.
  • Experience supporting security role design and access models , including business roles, task‑based roles, and alignment to global security strategy standards.
  • Experience administering and supporting NextLabs for data protection, access control enforcement, and compliance with regulatory and engineering data security requirements.
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as IBP , BTP , and Azure .
  • This position requires use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). All applicants must be U.S. Persons within the meaning of the ITAR and EAR, or eligible to obtain all required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State and/or the U.S. Department of Commerce. Responsibilities

  • Independently manage system (e.g. SAP, Windchill, Workday, etc.) upgrades and environment refreshes; troubleshoot installation issues and optimize configurations; Take ownership of application updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure optimal performance and security; Identify inefficiencies in application workflows and recommend improvements.
  • Analyze performance metrics to identify trends; implement tuning recommendations and validate improvements.
  • Manage role-based access controls and support internal audits; resolve segregation of duties (SoD) conflicts; Configure and manage user roles, access controls, and permissions to ensure application (e.g. SAP, Windchill, Workday, etc.) security.
  • Coordinate change deployments across systems (e.g. SAP, Windchill, Workday, etc.); troubleshoot transport errors and maintain logs.
  • Collaborate with other team members; contribute to SOPs and knowledge bases; Plan, execute, and oversee small application-related projects, such as system migrations, tool upgrades, or workflow automation; Define project goals, allocate resources, monitor timelines, and ensure deliverables are achieved.
  • Independently install, configure, and optimize enterprise software solutions; Customize settings to meet business requirements and ensure integration with existing systems.
  • Manage updates, patches, and upgrades for software applications to ensure optimal performance; Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning strategies. Recommend improvements based on trend analysis.
  • Implement role-based access controls (RBAC), enforce security policies, and support compliance audits.
  • Coordinate releases, manage version control, and ensure rollback readiness. Participate in change advisory boards (CABs).
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term fixes; Address complex application issues and make decisions regarding configurations and workflows; Document findings and share knowledge with peers.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts for provisioning, monitoring, and reporting. Integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Plan and execute infrastructure changes, including scaling, redundancy, and failover strategies.
  • Create detailed documentation for systems and processes; Provide guidance to junior administrators and assist in building their technical and project management skills; Contribute to internal knowledge bases and peer training.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA, and security teams to resolve issues and implement changes.
  • Manage SoD conflicts, prepare for audits, and ensure adherence to policies and standards.
