About The Position

We are seeking a skilled SAP ATTP Techno-Functional Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of ATTP-related programs. This role involves close collaboration with business stakeholders and external partners to define and document processes, translate business needs into technical specifications, and ensure compliance with global regulations. The consultant will be responsible for configuring ATTP systems, designing data flows, and guiding external partners through testing and onboarding. This is a long-term contract position with a preference for candidates located in or near Foster City, CA, due to occasional travel requirements.

Requirements

Experience in SAP ATTP functional design and implementation.
Ability to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements.
Experience in designing TO-BE process flows.
Proficiency in translating business needs into functional specifications and solution designs.
Experience defining and documenting event flows (serial number requests, commissioning, packing, shipping, receiving) between MAH, CMOs, and 3PLs.
Knowledge of global regulations such as US DSCSA and EU FMD.
Experience configuring SAP ATTP repository systems, business partners, locations, and master data.
Experience designing and mapping GS1 EPCIS messages.
Experience configuring ATTP rules, system schemas, and authentication settings.
Experience collaborating with middleware teams (e.g., Dell BOOMI) for secure connections (AS2, SFTP, Web Services).
Experience authoring Implementation Guidelines (IGs) or Mapping Specifications.
Experience guiding external partner IT teams through testing and onboarding.
Experience conducting End-to-End (E2E) integration testing.
Experience authoring and executing validation deliverables (FS, CS, UAT scripts) in compliance with GAMP 5 and 21 CFR Part 11.
Hands-on experience with RISE with SAP.

Responsibilities

Lead functional design, implementation, and optimization for ATTP-related programs and initiatives.
Collaborate with business stakeholders & external partners (3PL, CMOs) to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements.
Identify AS-IS process and design TO-BE process flows.
Translate business needs into functional specifications and solution designs.
Act as the primary point of contact between business, IT, and operations teams.
Define and document how serial number requests, commissioning, packing, shipping, and receiving events flow between the pharmaceutical company (MAH - Marketing Authorization Holder), CMOs, and 3PLs.
Identify gaps between standard SAP ATTP capabilities and the specific operational capabilities of external partners (e.g., handling partial pallets, aggregations, or returns).
Ensure the integration design complies with global regulations such as US DSCSA, EU FMD, Etc.
Configure ATTP repository systems, business partners (CMOs/3PLs), locations (GLNs), and master data (GTINs, SSCCs).
Design and map standard GS1 EPCIS messages for 3PLs and CMOs.
Configure ATTP rules, system schemas, and authentication settings to ensure only authorized data exchanges occur with specific partners.
Collaborate with middleware teams (Dell BOOMI) to establish secure connections (AS2, SFTP, Web Services) with partners.
Author and distribute Implementation Guidelines (IGs) or Mapping Specifications to CMOs/3PLs, aligning on required EPCIS event fields, business steps, and dispositions.
Act as the primary technical point of contact to guide external partner IT teams through the testing and onboarding pipeline.
Conduct End-to-End (E2E) integration testing, including simulating automated production runs from CMOs and fulfillment scenarios from 3PLs.
Author and execute validation deliverables in compliance with GAMP 5 and 21 CFR Part 11, including Functional Specifications (FS), Configuration Specification (CS), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) scripts.
Perform discovery phase with RISE upgrade and advise on impacts and solution to leadership teams.
