SAP ABAP Full Stack Developer (Remote)
About The Position
RTX Corporation is seeking a SAP ABAP Full Stack Developer for the OneRTX Process & Systems Transformation Program. This program aims to harmonize business processes and tools across the company, migrating capabilities into standardized ERP systems using SAP’s S/4HANA and Business Technology Platform (BTP). This is a hands-on development-intensive role focused on building, enhancing, and optimizing applications using the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) and Fiori application frameworks. The role requires deep knowledge of SAP ABAP and related technologies, including ABAP 7.5 (Clean ABAP and Modern ABAP), ABAP Objects, ABAP Code Pushdown, RAP, EML, ABAP CDS, and SAP Workflow. The developer will design, develop, document, and support application solutions for S/4HANA ABAP, ABAP Cloud, SAP RAP, and Fiori apps, utilizing clean core extensibility models. Responsibilities include supporting the migration of large ECC systems to S/4HANA, establishing enterprise-wide standards for application development and integration, and enhancing program performance. The role contributes to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
Requirements
- University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in SAP ABAP development and SAP projects.
- Awareness of clean core extension concepts, i.e. in-app extensibility, developer extensibility and side-by-side extensibility.
- ABAP 7.5 (Clean ABAP and Modern ABAP)
- ABAP Objects (and Object-Oriented development skills in general)
- ABAP Code Pushdown
- RAP, Restful ABAP Programing, queries, managed and unmanaged BOs.
- EML, Entity Markup Language
- ABAP CDS
- SAP Workflow

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, document, and support application solutions focused on S/4HANA ABAP, ABAP Cloud, SAP RAP, and Fiori apps to address business and operational needs.
- Utilize clean core extensibility models, including key-user, developer, and side-by-side approaches, for development.
- Support the migration of multiple large ECC systems into a unified S/4HANA system.
- Help establish enterprise-wide standards for application development and integration, emphasizing S/4HANA clean core development practices.
- Analyze and enhance the performance of both new and existing programs.
- Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle, including documentation and project deliverables.
