Enterprise Systems is part of IS&T and owns the technology behind Apple's SAP environment and its modernization through the SAP Landscape Modernization (SLM) initiative. The team manages the continuous operation, maintenance, and evolution of the world's largest single-instance SAP deployment — a platform that sustains Apple's global supply chain and the integrity of its core financial systems. The SAP Application Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing and delivering high-quality enterprise solutions by participating in architectural discussions, developing scalable technical frameworks, and aligning solutions with business and technology strategies. The role requires a self-motivated, detail-oriented approach; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; adaptability in a fast-paced environment; and the ability to proactively learn and apply emerging technologies to enhance solution delivery. The ideal candidate takes ownership of driving timely, efficient, and high-quality solutions while partnering effectively with global, cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Min. 7-10 years of relevant work experience
• In-depth ABAP development experience in RICEFW, OData service, REST/SOAP-based API design and integration.
• In-depth experience working with S/4 HANA, CDS views, AMDP, and RAP.
• In-depth experience in performance tuning of HANA models.
• MS/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a developer-at-heart attitude.
• Knowledge of software engineering practices and standard methodologies for the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and deployment.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of SAP technologies/frameworks such as SAPUI5, Fiori, and CAP is a plus.
• Knowledge of the SAP Business Technology Platform and Services is a plus.
