SAP ABAP/BTP Developer
About The Position
The SAP ABAP/BTP Developer performs complex business and system analysis, solution design, development, testing, and implementation across SAP enterprise applications. The role partners with business stakeholders, SAP Functional Consultants, architects, and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. The developer leads the design and development of ABAP-based enhancements, interfaces, reports, conversions, forms, and integrations while ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards. The position also provides technical leadership, mentors junior team members, and contributes to successful project delivery in large-scale SAP environments.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of SAP development experience.
- Strong SAP ABAP development experience across complex enterprise environments.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical designs and development specifications.
- Experience creating technical documentation and supporting end-to-end development lifecycles.
- U.S. citizenship required.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Experience developing interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, reports, and workflows.
- Experience leading development teams and coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Conduct business and system analysis to support current and future SAP application enhancements.
- Translate business requirements into detailed enterprise application designs and technical solutions.
- Collaborate with SAP Functional Consultants and client stakeholders to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations.
- Develop programming specifications, technical designs, process diagrams, and coding logic flowcharts for application modifications and implementations.
- Design, develop, test, and support SAP ABAP solutions across enterprise environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects and performance issues.
- Support integration efforts across SAP modules and external applications.
- Participate in solution design reviews, testing activities, and deployment planning.
- Ensure compliance with development standards, best practices, and project methodologies.
- Support budgeting, staffing, forecasting, and work planning activities.
- Manage a team, including mentoring and training junior team members.
