About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing work areas within a food plant, adhering to Jennie-O Turkey Store and USDA regulations. The role involves the use of chemical cleaners, sanitizers, and acids. It requires the ability to work with minimal supervision in potentially cold, damp, hot, or humid conditions. Requirements

• Able to work in a Food plant (which may be cold and damp or hot and humid)
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of all jobs and chemicals used within the department
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Simple math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) required
• No attendance work actions in the last 6 months
• No performance work actions in the last 6 months
• Able to climb stairs and/or work on elevated stands or platforms
• Able to lift 50 lbs. on an occasional basis

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge and experience with foaming equipment operation and maintenance
• Specific training and experience in the use of caustics, sanitizers and acids

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing your work area
• Includes the use of chemical cleaners, sanitizers and acids to maintain compliance with the Jennie-O Turkey Store and USDA regulations
• Any and all other duties as assigned by the supervisor
