About The Position

The Sanitor is responsible for executing tasks related to sanitation, facility upkeep, training, and operations support. This role is crucial for maintaining a clean and safe working environment within the facility.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required
  • Must possess great attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced industrial environment
  • Must be able to understand verbal and written English
  • Results focused and detailed oriented
  • Individual must be punctual and reliable
  • Demonstrated ability to follow direction and execute tasks successfully
  • The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • In addition, this position occasionally requires an employee to work outside in intense weather conditions (i.e. cold temperatures, snow, hot temperatures, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years experience in manufacturing or similar industry preferred
  • Prior experience working in a janitorial role preferred
  • Prior experience operating a floor scrubber preferred

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment in areas such as offices, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, stair ways, locker rooms, warehouses, etc.
  • Replenishes supplies for PPE, bathrooms, hand wash stations, and office as needed
  • Operates floor scrubber to clean plant floor, aisles, and warehouse
  • Manages disposal of facility trash and recycling program
  • Assists Quality department with holds and product inspections, as well as clerical tasks such as reviewing training documentation
  • Maintains facility grounds by assisting with building upkeep (indoor & outdoor), inspections, and corrective actions
  • Assists with sugar dust and cobweb removal
  • Work effectively and ensure that food safety, authenticity, legality, and quality are maintained.
  • Report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out-of-specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials, to a designated manager to enable the resolution of issues requiring immediate action.
  • All other duties as assigned
