Cleans applicable areas of the plant while the plant is in operation, or after production. This role requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP). Responsibilities include cleaning machinery, tools, containers, belts, and equipment using hand-cleaning methods or Clean-In-Place (CIP) procedures. The Sanitor will disassemble and reassemble equipment for cleaning, follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures where specified, and ensure equipment is clean and free of debris before a different product is run on a line. Daily cleaning of ceilings, walls, and floors after production runs is also a key duty. The role involves using high-pressure hoses and nozzles, coordinating with supervisors and maintenance for efficiency, cleaning and emptying garbage receptacles, washing dishes and bins, and generally maintaining a clean facility free of debris.
