About The Position

The Pharmaceutical Equipment Sanitizer and Compounder plays a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and proper function of all equipment used in the production of pharmaceutical products. This position is responsible for sanitizing equipment, following strict protocols to prevent contamination, and compounding ingredients according to precise formulations to ensure high-quality product output.

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs).
  • Prolonged standing, walking, and repetitive movements.
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment with stringent cleanliness and requirements of attire.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional education in a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, sanitation, or compounding preferred.
  • Knowledge of cGMP and SOPs is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly clean and sanitize pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and facilities according to established SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.
  • Use approved cleaning agents and techniques to ensure all equipment is free from contaminants.
  • Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, including completion times, methods used, and observations.
  • Accurately weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to specified formulations to produce pharmaceutical compounds.
  • Operate and maintain compounding equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Document all compounding activities and observations in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform routine inspections of sanitized equipment to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
  • Identify and report any deviations or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
  • Participate in regular quality audits and training sessions to stay current with industry standards and regulations.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including OSHA, FDA, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Report any safety hazards or incidents to the supervisor and participate in corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sanitization and compounding activities.
  • Prepare and review documentation for batch records, cleaning logs, and equipment use logs.
