About The Position

Weekend Sanitation at the Kendallville Plant. This role is part of a team that produces quality products for households across the country. The Kendallville plant, established in 1934, is the sole producer of all Kraft Heinz product lines, including caramel, marshmallows, and Marbits. The plant employs 280 individuals across three shifts. Kendallville is a small-town community located about 30 minutes north of Fort Wayne.

Requirements

Self-motivated with a strong drive for results.
Use simple mathematics.
Lift 50 pounds and able to climb a ladder.
Able to work in areas that contain dust and starch particles.
Able to work in hot and humid conditions.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of manufacturing and/or food processing, quality standards, hygiene, work safety, etc. preferred.

Responsibilities

Efficiently dismantle, clean, and re-assemble production equipment (i.e. kettles, pumps, pipes, valves, drums, tables, belts, sifters, dryers, packaging equipment/machines, conveyors, blenders, etc.) and support equipment (i.e. coils, drains, overheads, fans, etc.)
Monitor and communicate any process or product abnormalities to your Supervisor, Team Leader, or Line Technician.
Support and guide temporary employees assigned to the designated area.
Report all safety concerns and potential hazards to Supervisor, Team Leader, or Line Technician.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader.
