About The Position

The Sanitation role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the physical plant and equipment, including the building structure and process equipment on the assigned shift. This role follows all sanitation processes in compliance with all company, local, state, and federal food sanitation standards, as well as all Compliance Management System (CMS) procedures. The position ensures compliance for work documentation while nurturing a positive team environment on shift. Key responsibilities include performing tasks as assigned by the Manager, ensuring the cleanliness of the physical plant and equipment to be audit-ready daily, and multitasking with minimal supervision. The role requires working as a team player to achieve cleaning specifications safely and efficiently, communicating effectively with team members, and assisting in other areas as assigned by the Quality Manager. Adherence to Company's GMPs, CMS's, SOP's, plant rules, and other codes of conduct is mandatory. The position involves following written and oral instructions, complying with sanitation and housekeeping operations in accordance with cGMP's, SOP's, and HACCP policies and procedures, and following line-specific cleaning and sanitation instructions. Proper chemical solution use and concentrations are essential to ensure safety for workers and equipment. Daily duties include general housekeeping in warehouse and office areas, maintaining the building's interior and exterior cleanliness, following all safety procedures and participating in safety training, and maintaining safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and PPE. Reporting any injury, accident, or unsafe condition immediately to a supervisor is required. The role supports and complies with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, and preventative maintenance programs, as well as all company policies and procedures. The position requires the ability to stand for long periods, bending and stooping, and the use of various cleaning tools.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the physical plant and equipment to be audit ready every day
  • Must be able to multi-task with minimal supervision
  • Must work as a team player, ensuring cleaning specifications are achieved and in a safe and efficient manner
  • Communicate well with other team members
  • Assist in other areas as assigned by Quality Manager
  • Must follow Company’s GMP’s, CMS’s, SOP’s, plant rules, other policies, and codes of conduct

  • Complies with sanitation and housekeeping operations in accordance with cGMP’s, SOP’s and HACCP policies and procedures
  • Must follow line-specific cleaning and sanitation instructions
  • Follow sanitation procedures for proper chemical solutions use, and proper concentrations so that it is not harmful to workers or equipment
  • General housekeeping in warehouse and office areas (taking out trash, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and mopping of the floors, cleaning up any messes or spills)
  • Keeps the building’s interior and exterior clean and orderly
  • Follows all safety procedures and participate in safety training
  • Maintains safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and PPE
  • Reports any injury, accident, or unsafe condition immediately to supervisor
  • Follows all GMPs (Good Manufacturing Processes)
  • Supports, and comply with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, preventative maintenance programs
  • Follows all company policies and procedures
