About The Position

This Sanitation role is responsible for keeping working areas in production departments of an industrial establishment in clean and orderly condition. Key duties include cleaning and sanitizing drains and floors, using chemicals and equipment to sanitize various areas, and disassembling, sanitizing, and cleaning pipes, pumps, and other production equipment. The position also involves transporting trash and waste to disposal areas and, in certain areas, sorting and placing leftover pallets in designated areas at the end of the shift.

Requirements

• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
• Basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.
