About The Position

Ensure the health and safety of our customer product by maintaining a clean facility. This role requires a "Whatever it Takes" attitude, flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Employees are expected to maintain high standards, follow directions, communicate professionally, and adhere to safety guidelines. The position involves working in a fast-paced, non-climate controlled environment and requires the ability to lift 50lbs, sit, stand, walk, twist, squat, and reach for extended periods. The Sanitation role is crucial for maintaining the overall cleanliness and safety of the facility, directly impacting customer product safety.

Requirements

Informs supervisor / manager immediately if unsafe conduct or conditions arise.

Responsibilities

Vacuum and clean bug lights as needed using hot soapy water, and replace bulbs.
Empty trash daily in all areas of the building.
Inspect refrigerators for spillage and clean with hot soapy water.
Remove spider webs using designated equipment around forklift areas, racking, guide rail, and perimeter/edges.
Vacuum carpet areas.
Sweep and pick up wood chips, strapping, shrink wrap, etc., off of the warehouse floor.
Vacuum cracks in the dock plates.
Clean exit door perimeters.
Empty trash, sweep and mop, and clean tables, chairs, and counters in the employee lunchroom/breakroom.
Dust dock doors and clean dock lights.
Maintain clean windows and mirrors.
Follow established Dock Safety practices.
Prepare cleaning supplies for use per manufacturer recommendations.
Report all equipment malfunctions to manager and/or maintenance immediately.
Follow safety and security policies and SOPs.
Inspect the perimeter of the building for evidence of rodents, bird infestation, cleanliness, and security of the building, including wall panels. Report any captures to the Distribution Manager.
Assist in other areas and on clean up day when requested.
