About The Position
We are seeking a Sanitation Worker to join our team at our Santa Ana, CA bakery. As a Sanitation Worker, you will be accountable for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and maintaining hygienic work areas to support food safety, product quality, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of sanitation experience, preferably in bakery or food manufacturing
- Ability to read and write in English and/or Spanish at an elementary level
- GMP/HACCP knowledge or certification
- Ability to lift, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and assigned shifts
- Ability to work safely with chemicals and follow sanitation procedures
Nice To Haves
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Experience with equipment disassembly and sanitation in manufacturing environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively across sanitation and production teams
- Commitment to maintaining safe and contaminant‑free workspaces
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize production equipment in alignment with SSOPs and food safety standards
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment to support proper cleaning and safe operation
- Maintain accurate sanitation records and documentation as required by regulatory standards
- Handle and apply cleaning chemicals safely while maintaining proper labeling, storage, and usage
- Maintain clean and hygienic production, sanitation, and chemical storage areas
- Follow GMPs, HACCP practices, and other compliance requirements consistently
- Build effective working relationships to support sanitation and production needs
