About The Position

Responsible for cleaning of equipment, equipment lines and production area to USDA standards. Essential job duties: Hoses down all plant equipment, floors, and walls using cold-water rinse. Applies chemicals for cleaning, degreasing and sanitizing using sprayers and hoses. Applies a hot water wash down of sterilization. Shovels and sweeps up waste from daily production of meat products. Gather trash in carts and transports to trash compactor for disposal. Cleans drains and sewers in plant area by sweeping floors and transporting debris to trash area. Cover sensitive equipment for protection. Handles equipment and chemicals according to government, MSDS and company safety standards. Familiar with General Manufacturing Procedures. Complies with lockout/tag out program. Performs other duties assign by management.

Requirements

• Familiar with General Manufacturing Procedures.
• Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others in a team effort.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures.
• Knowledge of good manufacturing practices.
• Knowledge of safety guidelines.
• Ability to bend, stoop, pull and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.

Nice To Haves

• High school education or equivalent preferred.
