Sanitation Worker
About The Position
This position is responsible for the cleaning of the general warehouse area, stocking of supplies, changing of garbage bags, cleaning of the breakroom and bathrooms and test kitchen, sweeping, vacuuming, and using a floor scrubber. The role involves using proper detergent and sanitizing chemicals following MSDS procedures, reading labels for chemical identification, and performing maintenance tasks such as painting, pressure washing, changing batteries, and using ladders. The job also includes occasional cleaning of oil spills and working regularly in a cold environment (30-40 degrees) and occasionally in the freezer. Operating a pallet jack and forklift is part of the duties. The role requires the individual to be physically fit and strong, able to lift 50-90 pounds comfortably, and perform light maintenance duties. Additional duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3-6 months of experience
- Physically fit and strong, able to lift 50 – 90 pounds comfortably
