About The Position

Mt. Olive Pickle Company is seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to join our sanitation team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This role is essential to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, food safety, and operational excellence.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Must be properly trained to handle chemicals.
Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for cleaning work area as assigned by the sanitation crew chief or supervisor, and must be able to perform these duties in all areas.
Follows established procedures for the cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming and sanitizing of equipment, containers and the facility. Also includes disposal of garbage with forklift, maintaining drains and floor ways clear as well as maintaining recyclables generated from the Plant.
Performs daily Preoperational inspections of assigned area after cleaning.
Performs weekly ATP swabs and reports.
Must be able to operate production equipment correctly to facilitate proper cleaning.
Follows safety procedures to ensure the safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
Measures and mixes chemicals per established procedures.
Records work performed on Sanitation Schedule at end of each workday.
Maintains dumpster area in clean and orderly condition.
Follows safety rules and company policies.
Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
Receives written and verbal instructions on the above job tasks and performs other duties as directed by Supervisor or crew chief.
