Responsible for general cleaning and upkeep of cafeterias, all restrooms, locker rooms, laundry room, office area and any other areas as directed by supervisor. This role involves performing general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, washing, wiping off, hosing down, using compressed air, vacuuming, and laundry. The position requires adherence to set sanitation procedures and schedules, documentation, and potentially assisting other sanitation personnel during absences. The role may also involve assisting in production when requested and being a member of the Blood-Borne Pathogen team. Employees must be able to read instructions and follow safety procedures/MSDS Sheets when working with cleaning chemicals. Additional duties include cleaning sinks, collecting and dumping garbage, restocking dispensers, weekly cleaning of wash pits, and weekly inspection of rodent traps. The sanitation worker is responsible for the cleanliness of all kitchen areas, proper disposal of trash, and maintaining clean, organized storage shelves and stockrooms with items properly stored and rotated.
