About The Position

The Sanitation Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment across multiple facility sites. This role plays a key part in ensuring compliance with food safety standards, workplace safety, and company sanitation procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of working independently while traveling between designated sites.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in sanitation, custodial, or janitorial work (food manufacturing environment a plus).
  • Knowledge of safe chemical handling, cleaning procedures, and sanitation best practices.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel between multiple sites as required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility in scheduling, including nights, weekends, and shift rotations if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of production areas, restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and common spaces at multiple sites.
  • Safely handle and properly use cleaning chemicals, sanitizers, and equipment according to company and regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor and restock cleaning and sanitation supplies across all assigned locations.
  • Remove trash, recyclables, and waste from designated areas and ensure proper disposal procedures are followed.
  • Conduct floor care (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing) and maintain sanitary conditions in both production and non-production spaces.
  • Support pest-prevention efforts by maintaining cleanliness standards and promptly addressing sanitation concerns.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), OSHA, and food safety compliance requirements.
  • Report maintenance, safety, or sanitation issues to site supervisors or management promptly.
  • Travel between assigned facilities as scheduled, ensuring consistent service and cleanliness standards are met.
