About The Position

C&W Services is the industry leader in cutting-edge maintenance and janitorial programs for facilities ranging from corporate office portfolios and manufacturing plants to large public venues, keeping our client’s facility running smoothly all the time. This role is for a Sanitation Tech in Dayton, Ohio, with hours from Wednesday to Saturday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm. The position involves working in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment, performing sanitation and cleaning tasks according to master cleaning schedules and procedures. This includes washing down, shoveling, de-junking, vacuuming, and sweeping. The role requires operating various equipment and tools, effective communication with team leads, supervisors, and customers, and adherence to work schedules, including overtime and all shifts when demanded by the job. The technician will also work from elevated areas, maintain communication with supervisors, and ensure compliance with company and customer regulations. Accurate administrative duties and positive employee relations are also expected.

Requirements

Ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
Ability to quickly grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
Substantial lifting (up to 50 pounds) is required.
Ability to move for extended or continuous periods of time.
Ability to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
Ability to operate applicable hand tools, power tools, and equipment.
Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner.
Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties.
Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules.
2 years in industrial cleaning desired but not required.

Responsibilities

Work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment, adhering to "Safety First" expectations including PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
Perform sanitation and cleaning of assigned areas following master cleaning schedules and procedures, including washing down, shoveling, de-junking, vacuuming, and sweeping.
Assist in formulating sanitation standards/work procedures and provide work order feedback on discrepancies.
Operate skid steer loaders, scissors lifts, boom lifts, forklifts, and hand/power tools.
Effectively communicate with team lead, supervisor, and customer to accomplish assigned tasks and develop sound customer relations.
Maintain adherence to the published work schedule and be available to work overtime as required.
Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc., utilizing fall protection equipment when required.
Maintain communication with supervisor regarding unresolved work issues, personnel issues, and employee complaints.
Work all shifts including holidays and weekends when demanded by the job.
Perform other work as defined by company and/or customer.
Clean process screens with a concentrated solution daily (CC- Caustic Cleaners).
Ensure compliance with all company/customer regulations, policies, and procedures.
Achieve performance expectations set forth as part of performance appraisals, including employee development planning.
Communicate with all team members to assist the development of short- and long-range planning in assistance of the company’s goals.
Meet physical requirements of the job.
Perform assigned tasks in a safety, effective, and efficient manner.
Complete accurate and timely administrative duties, including time accounting and work order completion.
Maintain positive customer and employee relations.
