Sanitation Technician - Weekend Shift
About The Position
Cascade Coffee is hiring a collaborative Sanitation Technician for their weekend shift. For over 45 years, Cascade Coffee has been a premier specialty coffee contract manufacturer in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in roasting, grinding, flavoring, and packaging coffee for global brands. Founded in 1977, the company operates from a large facility with extensive coffee storage, roasting capacity, flavor mixing systems, and automated packaging lines. This full-time role is responsible for custodial duties throughout the facility, including restrooms, breakrooms, handwashing stations, outside areas, trash removal, and stocking supplies. The primary responsibilities include ensuring PPE and staff toiletries are stocked, performing spot cleaning in restrooms, and using chemicals safely according to company guidelines.
Requirements
- Intermediate oral and written communications skills required.
- Basic ability to read, write, calculate simple math, and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
- Ability to work independently and communicate with other employees on quality issues.
- Regular attendance and promptness are a requirement for this position.
- Employees must also be flexible to work additional hours outside a shift as required.
- Assists new training of employees as directed.
Nice To Haves
- 1-3 years’ experience of custodial or janitorial experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Attention to detail and able to work well with the team.
Responsibilities
- Performs spot checks on all restrooms daily.
- Cleans both employee break rooms daily.
- Weekly performs cleaning duties per Cascade Coffee’s KLEANZ program.
- Complies with General Safety Communication Program.
- Complies with all Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety protocols.
- Clean and dust the Employee Welcome and Training Center.
- Sweeping and Mopping main walkways and dusting walkway railings.
- Stocking cleaning supplies.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
