About The Position
Viridian Staffing's Client is looking for part-time evening, Temporary Sanitation Techs in the Tacoma, Washington, area. For the right candidate, this could convert to a permanent position. This position requires on-site work Monday - Friday from 6 pm - 11:30 pm starting immediately. The role involves ensuring processing & kitchen facilities are maintained and sanitized, managing and destroying refuse & waste products, and sanitizing all equipment, dishes, walls, sinks, and tables. Duties include mopping up spills, sweeping, washing, cleaning, and sanitizing tasks. The position requires a strong attention to detail for following SOPs, maintaining sanitation records, and following directions closely. The role involves mixing and using cleaning chemicals, and operating equipment such as sweepers, scrubbers, and pressure washers. A strong dedication to safety and compliance, including best practices for using and disposing of cleaning agents and disinfectants, is essential.
Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in cleaning / janitorial services, preferably in a regulated industry
- Eligible to work for a licensed Cannabis Company in the State of Washington (21 years of age or older)
- Able to work on your feet
- Able to lift, carry, & balance up to 50 pounds
- Able to handle hazardous materials safely and with extreme care and caution
- Able to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time
- Able to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Able to frequently perform repetitive motion tasks
- Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- English language speaking skills, both verbally and written
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

- Some maintenance knowledge and can identify possible repair, preventative maintenance, and upkeep issues on all equipment

Responsibilities
- Ensuring the processing & kitchen facilities are maintained and sanitized
- Ensuring the refuse & waste products are managed & destroyed
- Ensuring all equipment and maintenance of dishes, walls, sinks, and tables are sanitized
- Mopping up spills, leaks, and other occupational hazards
- Sweeping, washing, cleaning, and sanitizing tasks
- Maintain detailed records of sanitation activities
- Mix and use cleaning and sanitation chemicals
- Operate sweepers, scrubbers, pressure washers and other custodial equipment
- Use best practices for using and when necessary disposing of cleaning agents and disinfectants
