About The Position

Palmer Candy is seeking a 2nd shift Sanitation Team Member at our Bluff St facility. This role is responsible for the sanitation of facilities, machines, and production equipment to ensure products are produced with good quality in a safe, secure, and sanitary manner, adhering to company specifications. The 2nd shift operates Monday-Friday, with Monday-Thursday hours from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM. Friday and Saturday hours may be scheduled based on business needs, and team members will be notified of any schedule changes.

Requirements

Prior sanitation experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Great attention to detail.
Ability to work overtime as needed and as required.
Ability to maintain acceptable standards of conduct.

Responsibilities

Operate sanitation equipment and tools.
Prepare sanitation supplies/chemicals safely and correctly.
Perform regular and allergen washes of manufacturing areas, packaging machines, and equipment.
Check equipment to ensure it meets health and safety regulations.
Manage recycling and waste removal.
Undertake light painting/construction projects.
Perform simple maintenance.
Learn to use pallet jacks or forklifts.
Maintain acceptable standards of conduct.
Interact with all plant functions and work with individuals at all levels.
Attend work regularly and punctually.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or management.
