About The Position

The Sanitation Team Member is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary production environment to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company quality standards. This role plays a key part in preventing contamination and ensuring all equipment, surfaces, and work areas meet cleanliness and hygiene requirements.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in wet, cold, or humid environments and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and teamwork.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in food manufacturing sanitation preferred but not required. Training will be provided.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize production equipment, tools, and facility areas in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
  • Disassemble and reassemble machinery for thorough cleaning following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Handle and properly use cleaning chemicals and sanitation solutions safely and effectively.
  • Inspect equipment and work areas to verify cleanliness before production restarts.
  • Maintain accurate sanitation logs, checklists, and other required documentation.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and all company safety and food safety policies.
  • Report any equipment issues, safety hazards, or sanitation concerns to the supervisor immediately.
  • Work collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to ensure sanitation activities are completed efficiently and safely.
