The Sanitation Team Leader is responsible for performing tasks in the work area on a daily basis within the team. This includes being an on-the-floor work participant with associates covering for unplanned absences and vacations, understanding and maintaining all department reports and procedures, and coordinating breaks and lunch schedules. The role also involves overseeing and understanding the maintenance of equipment, PM's and work orders, assisting managers with scheduling of associates, and understanding production and the ability to execute department requirements. Additionally, the Sanitation Team Leader promotes and enforces quality and food safety standards, acts as a role model for associates, and plans and conducts job skill training for all associates, including writing Skill Breakdown Sheets (SBSs) and conducting Job Instruction Training (JIT). This position leads and drives improvement of plant operations, analyzes and understands KPIs and data, and performs the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities of the Department Manager/Assistant Department Manager in their absence, such as production scheduling and planning, and other duties as assigned.
