About The Position

The Overnight Sanitation Supervisor leads a sanitation team of 4-6 employees daily with a focus on Safety and Sanitation as well as overall productivity of the team. The overnight sanitation schedule is 9PM to 5:30AM. This role is responsible for the supervision of human safety, food safety, and sanitation, ensuring the plant is and stays in a food-safe manner.

Requirements

  • English (reading and writing)
  • General computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Sanitation experience or cleaning experience in food environment
  • At least 1 year of supervisory/lead experience
  • Able to lift 50lbs

Responsibilities

  • Ability to function in ALL roles on the sanitation team including washing and sanitizing equipment, utensils, and facility
  • Plan, lead and direct sanitation activities on the shift
  • Develop a work environment that promotes trust, teamwork, food safety, quality, and human safety
  • Assist in the building and maintain daily, weekly, and quarterly Master Sanitation Schedules (MSS)
  • Responsible for completeness of MSS checklists
  • Assist in the creation and verification of Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP’s)
  • Periodically validates SSOP’s and sanitation programs to ensure compliance
  • Manage chemical inventory and sanitation tools
  • Facilitate the accomplishment of SSOP’s, other sanitation programs, GMP’s, food safety and SQF requirements
  • Assure a safe work environment and report safety concerns to appropriate Management
  • Train and coach new team members as needed
  • Assist with selection, hiring, advancement, transfer, promotion, and termination decisions for the department
  • Work closely with QA department to ensure all sanitation policies ensure the plant is, and stays, in a food-safe manner
  • Responsible for the supervision of human safety, food safety and sanitation
  • Assure a safe work environment and report safety concerns to appropriate Management
  • Responsible for food safety and quality
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership team
