About The Position

Dessert Holdings is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor for their Smyrna, Georgia facility. This role is responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of the entire campus and facility, including office spaces, production areas, and outside grounds. The supervisor will also provide leadership support over the weekends, manage their own budget, and oversee the purchasing of chemicals, sanitation, and operations supplies. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 9:30 PM-6:00 AM, with occasional Saturdays, and start/end times may vary based on business needs.

Requirements

• Experience in a QA or Sanitation role in a food manufacturing environment
• Experience in a Supervisory or Team leader role
• Knowledge of sanitation, chemical safety, FDA, GMP, and HACCP
• Intermediate Microsoft computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule as needed
• Move objects of up to 50 lbs.
• Position self to designated working area
• Operate standard office equipment
• Communicate effectively with fellow employees & clients
• Assess daily tasks & achieve them in a timely manner
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite-Excel, Word, power-point a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the sanitation team to ensure production areas and equipment are cleaned and sanitized properly and on schedule.
• Train team members on sanitation procedures, SSOPs, GMPs, and safety standards.
• Monitor employee performance and attendance, providing coaching and feedback when needed.
• Ensure cleaning chemicals and supplies are handled, stored, and used safely.
• Inspect sanitation activities and identify areas that need improvement or corrective action.
• Work closely with production and other departments to quickly address sanitation concerns.
• Support GFSI/SQF audits and help complete corrective actions when needed.
• Maintain accurate sanitation records, inspection reports, KPIs, and required audit documentation.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and compliant manufacturing environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
