About The Position

The Sanitation Site Supervisor leads daily sanitation operations at a client facility that runs multiple shifts, seven days a week. You’ll work closely with your team before, during, and after sanitation shifts — ensuring the site is ready, safety protocols are followed, and food safety standards are met. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll coach frontline employees, manage sanitation processes, oversee shift readiness, and serve as the point of contact with both client management and regulatory inspectors.

Requirements

2–3 years in sanitation leadership within food processing (USDA/FDA environment required).
Strong understanding of GMPs, SSOPs, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE, and chemical handling.
Ability to lead, coach, and develop hourly teams in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays) and in all plant conditions (hot, cold, wet, loud).

Responsibilities

Supervise and support sanitation employees to ensure proper staffing, safe practices, and effective cleaning processes.
Coordinate with client maintenance teams pre-shift, verify lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, and confirm equipment access.
Reinforce PPE use, GMPs, SSOPs, and HAZCOMM practices; ensure compliance with USDA/FDA requirements.
Conduct equipment inspections before, during, and after sanitation to ensure readiness for production.
Accompany USDA/QA inspectors during pre-op inspections and maintain strong communication with client leadership.
Complete and maintain sanitation logs, deficiency reports, training records, and time/attendance records.
Apply company policies consistently, including progressive discipline when needed.
Adjust staffing to cover short crews, manage budgets responsibly, and drive continuous improvement in sanitation effectiveness.
