About The Position

McKee Foods is seeking a Sanitation Specialist to join our Environmental Sanitation Department team. You will work in all areas, cleaning equipment with high-pressure systems and operating high pressure washing equipment. This role involves working in various environments, including hot/cold, wet/dry, and at heights. The specialist will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing line equipment as well as environmental cleaning on the manufacturing floor. This position requires the ability to work safely around moving equipment, handle various chemicals, and understand the production schedule. The role also includes completing weekly Master Sanitation System (MSS) tasks, special project tasks, and daily tailing tasks (collecting samples for testing). Flexibility with tasks and good communication skills are essential.

Requirements

  • Have or able to obtain Scissor Lift License

  • Must be able to work independently or with others.
  • Must be willing to take on other tasks asked by Supervisor.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Industrial cleaning experience
  • Food processing or food manufacturing experience
  • Familiarity with industrial/manufacturing cleaning processes and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of the function and operation of sanitation equipment
  • Training and/or experience in operating lift equipment
  • Related training; including blood borne pathogens, confined space, lock out systems, dust hazard, chemical management, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning areas assigned by the Master Sanitation System (MSS) or areas assigned by supervisor.
  • Clean and sanitize line equipment as well as environmental cleaning.

  • Take on other tasks asked by Supervisor.
