About The Position

The First Shift Sanitation team member plays a key role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic facility. This is a part-time position. This position is responsible for executing sanitation duties that support food safety and workplace cleanliness in compliance with company standards and SQF (Safe Quality Food) guidelines.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Capable of standing and performing physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Ability to maintain sanitation standards that meet or exceed SQF audit requirements.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior warehouse or sanitation experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Arrive on time and prepared for the start of each scheduled shift.
  • Conduct a pre-operational inspection of all cleaning equipment before use.
  • Safely and efficiently carry out sanitation duties, including: Trash removal, Bailing cardboard and shrink wrap, Floor cleaning (manual and with floor scrubber), General facility cleaning as needed.
  • Complete all sanitation tasks as outlined in the SQF Sanitation Schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly).
  • Accurately log completed tasks in the sanitation tracking system.
  • Adhere to company and SQF protocols when handling damaged products and materials.
  • Participate in daily post-lunch shift meetings.
  • Operate all sanitation equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Support additional operational tasks as directed, such as product sorting, cleaning, shipping, and receiving assistance.
