About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the production area. All assigned work duties are to be completed prior to the end of shift while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. This facility produces hot dogs, cocktails, and sliced meats.

Requirements

  • 6 months of employment with one employer in the last 12 months.
  • Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment.
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Willing and able to lift up to 70 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Must walk, bend, and stand.
  • Must be able to work in possible warm or cold temperatures, wet, humid, or dusty conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and sanitizing all areas of the production area in accordance with USDA, HACCP, and QA pre-op protocols.
  • Use high pressure hose, chemical solutions, assemble/unassemble lines, and equipment as required for proper cleaning and sanitizing.
  • Clean equipment, lines, machines, floors, ceiling, lighting fixtures, fans, and take out trash.
  • Obtain LOTO (lockout tagout), fall protection, PIT (if needed) training.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing; ability to understand manuals, blueprints, complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels.
  • Other duties assigned by Manager.
