About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing all production equipment and the general facility to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety are maintained. The operator will be involved in assembling and disassembling equipment, safely dispensing and using chemicals, maintaining the chemical storage area, and ensuring all standard operating procedures are followed at an exceptional level. A key aspect of this role is preventing damage to equipment, including electrical components, while applying various cleaning agents. The operator will also be responsible for operating and maintaining floor scrubbers and performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Must demonstrate safe working habits
• Must be able to use industrial strength chemicals
• Must be able to understand and demonstrate all Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
• Must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently
• Must be able to push or pull heavy equipment
• Must have basic mechanical skills
• Must be able to work in a wet and slippery environment
• Must possess general knowledge of machine operation
• Must be able to bend/stoop/squat down, etc.
• Must be able to learn and perform all positions
• Must be able to use creative thinking for troubleshooting
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must have good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player)
• Must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
• Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
• Must be willing to assist other team members in other areas
• Must be able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time
• Must be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision
• Must be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
• Must possess basic math skills
• Must be able to communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Assembling and disassembling equipment
• Dispensing and using chemicals safely
• Maintaining the chemical storage area
• Cleaning all production equipment
• Maintaining standard operating procedures at an exceptional level
• Ensuring the prevention of damage when cleaning equipment, including electrical wiring and control panels
• Applying various chemicals on different equipment as well as in environmental locations
• Operating and maintaining floor scrubbers
• Performing other duties as assigned
