About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Sanitation Manager to join our team at our Georgia processing plant. This role is crucial for ensuring product safety and compliance within a food processing environment. The Sanitation Manager will lead and support the sanitation team, ensuring all cleaning procedures meet stringent regulatory requirements. This position involves managing schedules, overseeing the use of chemicals and equipment, and ensuring adherence to safety and hygiene standards. The role also includes conducting inspections, identifying issues, implementing corrective actions, and collaborating with other departments to maintain a clean and safe facility without disrupting operations. Staying current with industry regulations, maintaining accurate records, and driving process improvements are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sanitation management within a food processing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, USDA, FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA, and sanitation best practices.
  • Experience leading a team and training employees in sanitation, safety procedures, and safe chemical handling.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sanitation management software.
  • Must consent to a background check including a criminal record check, employment, and education verification.

  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and supporting the sanitation team.
  • Ensuring all cleaning procedures meet USDA, FDA, OSHA, HACCP, GMP, and SSOP requirements.
  • Managing schedules for the sanitation team.
  • Overseeing chemical and equipment use.
  • Ensuring the team follows all safety and hygiene standards.
  • Conducting inspections and audits.
  • Identifying issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
  • Partnering with Production and QA to maintain a clean and safe facility without disrupting operations.
  • Staying current on industry regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate sanitation records.
  • Continuously looking for process improvements.
