About The Position

Responsible for overseeing and performing a wide range of operational and facility support tasks, including but not limited to general housekeeping, sanitation, and area clean-up. Leads efforts in sweeping, painting, lubrication (oiling, greasing, etc.), and power washing to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment. Operates and ensures proper use of equipment such as motorized forklifts, while supporting team members in lifting and scissor lift and floor scrubber. Provides guidance and direction to others on task execution, prioritization, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Maintains accountability for completing assigned work efficiently and supports supervision in driving daily operations, addressing issues, and ensuring all additional duties are carried out as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous relevant experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or commercial cleaning.
  • Basic computer knowledge – data entry.

  • Produce accurate documentation.
  • Maintain acceptable Attendance.

  • Must fill in when needed in temporary/permanent vacancies.
  • Must adhere and comply with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations and policies.
  • Must consent background screening, drug screening.
  • Must be able to walk throughout the plant, to include walking and climbing up/downstairs.
  • Must have be ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and must be able to wear a respirator required.
  • Must have the appropriate level of sensory acuity (visual, hearing, speaking, smell and touch) to be able to identify and react to normal, abnormal and alarm conditions (chemicals, temperature, etc.).
  • Must be able to logically and methodically work through and break down complex problems and processes to enable effective communication with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CIP and Manual cleanings.
  • Maintain facility cleaning.
  • Oversee Sanitation team and escalate issues to Sanitation Supervisor.
  • Assist in investigating Food Safety and Quality issues.
  • Develop, implement and monitor plant sanitation and hygiene program policies to ensure compliance and support business objectives.
  • Responsible for developing and recommending corrective action where environmental and health hazards exist.
  • Identify, monitor, correct and eliminate gaps between the plant practice and sanitation policies.
  • Conduct audits, evaluate, teach and train to improve plant sanitation.
  • Responsible for monitoring housekeeping and hygiene standards.
  • Ensure the Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory compliance standards are being met throughout the performance of the day-to-day duties.
  • Advise manufacturing engineering and other operations personnel on decisions related to food safety and sanitary design.
  • Responsible for developing, training and monitoring food safety programs that support the sanitation and food safety in the plant.
