About The Position

Ditsch USA is looking for a Sanitation Lead at our Kemper location in Cincinnati, OH. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with sanitation, food manufacturing, production, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience who enjoys leading by example and helping maintain a clean, safe, food-safe environment. The role involves leading and assisting with daily sanitation activities on the production floor, including equipment cleaning, documentation, inspections, food safety requirements, and keeping the facility ready for production.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read safety labels.
  • Ability to follow sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Ability to use basic math.
  • Ability to work weekends or holidays as needed.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs.

  • Sanitation, food manufacturing, production, custodial, or industrial cleaning experience.
  • Understands food safety, cleanliness, documentation, and following procedures.
  • Communicates clearly, leads by example, and supports the team.
  • Comfortable using cleaning chemicals, sanitation tools, and power equipment.
  • Takes pride in keeping the facility clean, safe, and ready for production.
  • Previous sanitation experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
  • Food manufacturing experience is helpful, but strong industrial cleaning, production, or custodial experience may also be a fit.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and assist with daily sanitation activities on the production floor, including equipment cleaning, documentation, inspections, food safety requirements, and keeping the facility ready for production.
  • Lead and complete daily facility sanitation and custodial duties.
  • Clean and sanitize production areas, equipment, floors, walls, bins, trays, and work areas.
  • Disassemble, clean, sanitize, rinse, and reassemble production equipment and lines.
  • Use sanitation equipment such as floor scrubbers, sweepers, vacuums, mops, and power washers.
  • Follow sanitation schedules, GMPs, SQF expectations, food safety standards, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Train team members on proper chemical use, handling, and storage.
  • Complete inspections, cleaning records, sanitation documentation, and micro swabbing/testing as needed.
