Requirements

Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old.
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 40lbs, kneeling, climbing, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice

High School diploma or Equivalent
Comfortable working with sanitizing agents and chemicals.
Have strong attention to detail and are able to meet cleanliness standards set by the company.

Be able to perform highly physical work.

Responsibilities

Maintain the cleanliness of the production floor and surrounding area.
Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely to clean production floors, ceilings, walls, and equipment/machinery.
Be responsible for lock out tag out, dismantling, cleaning and sanitizing of production machines as required in accordance with master sanitation schedule and standard operating procedure.
Adhere to cleaning procedures in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices Standards and Health and Safety guidelines.
Collect and dispose of waste and recyclable materials from production area.
Perform specialized cleaning procedures.
Comply with all applicable legislative and Cargill safety, health and safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Perform custodian duties, clean common areas of the plant.
Other duties as assigned
