About The Position

We have an opening for a 3rd shift Sanitation Laborer. This role is responsible for following established procedures for the cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming, and sanitizing of equipment, containers, and the facility. These procedures are documented in the Sanitation Standards of Operations Procedure book.

Essential functions include cleaning assigned work areas in all areas of the facility, operating production equipment to facilitate proper cleaning, and following safety procedures for handling chemicals and equipment. The role also involves measuring and mixing chemicals, recording work performed, maintaining the dumpster area, and adhering to safety rules and company policies. Other duties may include participating in training, meetings, and project teams, and performing tasks as directed by a supervisor or crew chief.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Must be properly trained to handle chemicals.
• Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning work area as assigned by the sanitation crew chief or supervisor, and must be able to perform these duties in all areas.
• Follows established procedures for the cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming and sanitizing of equipment, containers and the facility. Also includes disposal of garbage with forklift, maintaining drains and floor ways clear.
• Must be able to operate production equipment correctly to facilitate proper cleaning.
• Follows safety procedures to ensure the safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
• Measures and mixes chemicals per established procedures.
• Records work performed on Sanitation Schedule at end of each workday.
• Maintains dumpster area in clean and orderly condition.
• Follows safety rules and company policies.
• Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
• Receives written and verbal instructions on the above job tasks and performs other duties as directed by Supervisor or crew chief.
