About The Position

This role is responsible for following established procedures for the cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming, and sanitizing of equipment, containers, and the facility. These procedures are documented in the Sanitation Standards of Operations Procedure book. The position involves cleaning assigned work areas, disposing of garbage with a forklift, and maintaining clear drains and floorways. The Sanitation Laborer must be able to operate production equipment correctly to facilitate proper cleaning and follow safety procedures for handling chemicals and equipment. They will also measure and mix chemicals, record work performed, and maintain the dumpster area. Additionally, participation in training, meetings, and other duties as directed by a supervisor is expected.

Requirements

Must be properly trained to handle chemicals.
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Cleaning work area as assigned by the sanitation crew chief or supervisor.
Performing cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming, and sanitizing of equipment, containers, and the facility according to established procedures.
Disposing of garbage with a forklift.
Maintaining drains and floorways clear.
Operating production equipment correctly to facilitate proper cleaning.
Following safety procedures for the safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
Measuring and mixing chemicals per established procedures.
Recording work performed on the Sanitation Schedule at the end of each workday.
Maintaining the dumpster area in a clean and orderly condition.
Following safety rules and company policies.
Participating in training, employee meetings, committees, and project teams as appropriate.
Performing other duties as directed by the Supervisor or crew chief.
