About The Position

We have an opening for a 3rd shift Sanitation Laborer. This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday - Friday, with steady Saturdays during peak season. The typical hours are 1:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., though these hours are subject to vary based on the needs of the department. The role involves following established procedures for the cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming, and sanitizing of equipment, containers, and the facility. These procedures are documented in the Sanitation Standards of Operations Procedure book.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
Must be properly trained to handle chemicals.
Forklift experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsible for cleaning work area as assigned by the sanitation crew chief or supervisor.
Follows established procedures for the cleaning, rinsing, foaming, steaming and sanitizing of equipment, containers and the facility.
Disposal of garbage with forklift.
Maintaining drains and floor ways clear.
Operating production equipment correctly to facilitate proper cleaning.
Follows safety procedures to ensure the safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
Measures and mixes chemicals per established procedures.
Records work performed on Sanitation Schedule at end of each workday.
Maintains dumpster area in clean and orderly condition.
Follows safety rules and company policies.
Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
Receives written and verbal instructions on job tasks and performs other duties as directed by Supervisor or crew chief.
