Starting Pay : $17.00 per hour plus additional shift differential for evenings, nights and weekends. This position is responsible for the sanitation/cleaning of the hatchery: sanitizing hatchers, setters, trays, racks, buggies, and all other hatchery equipment. The jobsite is a biosecure environment which requires showering, changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility. The Company provides appropriate clothing and footwear. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry and body piercings covered by appropriate clothing. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.). Must be willing to sign and abide by the Company Biosecurity and Company Animal Welfare Guidelines.

Requirements

Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps in employment greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
If applicant has been laid off or providing child or elder care, the employment gap will be increased to 18 months.
Previous work history will not apply to applicants who have been full time students consecutively for the last 36 months.
Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
Rehire Rule of no more than 3 times worked at Cobb/Tyson Foods.
Applicants must reside in the United States to be considered for an interview.

Nice To Haves

Applicants with previous agricultural or production experience will be considered preferred.

Responsibilities

Clean and sanitize hatchers and setters.
Clean and sanitize all hatchery equipment using a high pressure and regular water hose.
Monitor and record temperatures in the hatchers and setters.
Maintain foot pans and hand sanitizers, operate macerator, operate tray washer, tray, and set eggs, pull chicks, operate chick counter, pack, or unpack eggs and maintain a clean an organized work area.
